Ageing Artfully - Conference and National Learning event

The Baring Foundation and Manchester City Council’s Valuing Older People partnership are hosting an exciting day of professional exchange and reflection on Arts and older people.

Sessions and speakers covering a wide range of topics such as:

The policy context – where’s the place for the arts?
• An overview of the Evidence Review undertaken by the Mental Health Foundation which will be launched at the conference
• The role of festivals in celebrating creative old age
• Creative Homes - arts in residential care
• Working creatively with digital media
• International perspectives
• Professional development

All those who are interested in the place of creative arts practice in older age - artists young and old, those who commission arts with or on behalf of older people, those who fund or study this field of work, ageing sector professionals and those who are just curious about it should attend.

This event is free to participants. However, if you register and do not attend on the day, you will be subject to a £40 fee to cover administration and catering costs.
