Leaving Macc

23 Jan 2013 - 15:50 by nicola.shanahan

Hello Everyone,

I’m sure some of you will have heard that I will be leaving Macc at the end of this week. I’m off to pastures new (and cold) where I will be completing my Applied Psychologist training for children and young people in Glasgow. I’m very much looking forward to the new challenges this will bring.

I have really enjoyed the last three years at Macc working in a sector that is constantly evolving and striving to improve outcomes for children, young people and families in a difficult and challenging environment.

I would like to thank all the organisations that I have worked with, especially those of you that have given your time over and over for representation, meetings, consultations, meetings, events and more meetings….I really appreciate your engagement with the role without which we wouldn't have achieved anything. I have seen the relationship between the statutory and voluntary sector grow and develop over the last few years with some shining examples of partnership working and engagement of the sector to deliver improved outcomes.

I will be going for drinks on Friday (25th) from 4pm. I will be in Common bar on 39-41 Edge Street, Northern Quarter if you would like to pop in for a tipple or two.

I wish you all every success in the future and I'm sure I'll see some of you again when I'm back in the city after my training!!

Information about future children and families work in Macc will be in the bulletins.

Take care

Nicola
