Caribbean and African Health Network Bereavement Service

6 May 2020 - 14:52 by michelle.foster

CAHNThe Caribbean and African Health Network (CAHN) Bereavement Service offers the Caribbean and African community living in Greater Manchester (GM) a culturally and religiously tailored support for those grieving or mourning the loss of loved ones. This would be at no costs to GM residents but at a fee to people living outside greater Manchester. CAHN will be taking referrals from their statutory partners and VCSE organisations. However, CAHN will also welcome self-referrals for all kinds of bereavement.

CAHN’s experienced, qualified and registered counsellors have a wealth of experience in grief and trauma counselling. They would offer professionally personalised service to meet each client’s need. This service would initially be available in English and French while plans are being developed for the numerous African languages.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, CAHN will be offering a secured online video and telephone service in line with what suits beneficiaries. This would be reviewed after the lockdown to offer a face-to-face service where necessary.
