Channel 4 seeks hardworking individuals from the voluntary and community sector to feature in a series about working life and pay in Britain

12 Aug 2011 - 09:24 by michelle.foster

Each week Channel 4 will follow a small group of talented individuals with contrasting jobs and salaries as they spend time experiencing and comparing each other’s working lives. By doing this they hope to challenge assumptions about jobs people do and see first-hand why certain jobs are worth their wage (or sometimes worth more).

For the series to work Channel 4 need to find people who are proud of the job they do, passionate about their contribution to the workplace and are willing to show others what their job really entails. Each week Channel 4 will feature a different selection of jobs, so across the series a real insight into Britain at work will be achieved. Channel 4 are looking for people who are willing to discuss their income who would relish the chance to tell the world about the demands and rewards of their job and the qualities of their organisation.

Wall to Wall, an independent production company, with an established reputation for making television that inspires and educates for example Who Do You Think You Are? Long Lost Family, and BBC1's Turn Back Time: The High Street, will be producing the series. For further information, visit: www.walltowall.co.uk.
