Since receiving their donated double decker bus from Stagecoach Manchester in August 2016 the team behind Commonplace have been searching for a central Manchester office location to call home, with the added benefit of co-working with like-minded small businesses.

Following on from a successful crowdfunding campaign in December 2017 Commonplace are currently working on the designs to convert their double decker bus into a fully functional event space. They will be hosting creative community workshops in the city centre as part of the conversion. The ongoing ambition for Commonplace is to develop a city centre event series which harnesses the unique communities across Manchester and are accessible to all.

Roxanna Locke from Commonplace, said: “We are thrilled to be part of Mayfield & Co. We have partnership working in our DNA so the co-working environment suits us down to the ground.
“We’ve been on the lookout for a city centre base for some time and we jumped at the chance of being part of the new Mayfield. These are really exciting times.”

The co-working initiative is being brought forward by the Mayfield Partnership – a joint venture between Manchester City Council, LCR, Transport for Greater Manchester and mixed-use property regeneration specialist U+I.
