Forward Enterprise Fund

10 May 2019 - 10:27 by michelle.foster

Ex-offenders and people in recovery from addiction are two groups mainstream employers are least likely to recruit. Yet having a job can bring independence and self-respect, and is the single most effective factor in reducing the risk of re-offending. The Forward Enterprise Fund wants to support charities and enterprises that prioritise creating employment opportunities for these groups. Forward Enterprise Fund

The Fund provides:
• Access to unsecured loans between £25,000 - £150,000 for capital and revenue projects (typical interest rate 7.5%)
• Grants for business support to help eligible organisations raise investment
• Post-investment business support
• Up to £5,000 for start-up enterprises to raise match-funding on Crowdfunder
• Access to cohort learning driven by business needs
• Access to peer support from other enterprises on the programme

Who can apply?
Applicants are eligible if the following applies:
• The applicant's business or organisation must be within England
• The applicant's business or organisation is working with or intending to work with ex-offenders or people in recovery from addiction, creating employment opportunities for people from these communities

The Fund is reviewing applications as they are submitted on a first come, first served basis. It is, therefore, a good idea to send in your Expression of Interest as soon as possible to be considered for funding in the coming year.
