NatWest has launched CommunityForce, a £2.8 million grant fund to help local charities raise the publicity of their work and attract volunteers.
158 CommunityForce areas have been set up, and each will be offering three local projects the chance to win an award of £6,000 each.
CommunityForce is one way in which NatWest delivers its Customer Charter commitment to support local communities. CommunityForce gives charities, projects and groups an opportunity to promote their work, and the chance to access funds and skills as well as volunteers to make a lasting difference in their local communities.
If you're part of a local charity, project or group that wants to make a difference in your community, or if you have a great idea that could really benefit your community (and you need support to make this happen), CommunityForce can help. What’s more, whether your cause wins an award or not, you could still benefit from offers of time from volunteers including NatWest staff, who are willing to help with a wide range of tasks from building improvements to budget control.
An online public vote on NatWest's website will decide which three organisations should receive the awards.
