Our city’s shared plan to tackle climate change - consultation

29 Jul 2016 - 10:39 by michelle.foster

‘Manchester will play its full part in limiting the impacts of climate change… and by 2025 will be on a path to being a zero carbon city by 2050’.

This is Manchester’s latest commitment on climate change. It is based on the comments made by residents and businesses as part of the public consultation on the Our Manchester strategy in 2015.

Now Manchester Climate Change want to build on that commitment and set out what Manchester will do to achieve it – to create a strategy that all residents and businesses in the city can help to deliver.

As a starting point the Manchester: A Certain Future Steering Group and Manchester Climate Change Agency have produced a draft Manchester Climate Change Strategy 2016-50 and Implementation Plan 2016-20.

They would like your views to help define the zero carbon, climate resilient future that you want for your city.

For further information and to complete the consultation, visit: http://manchesterclimate.com/2050consultation

The consultation is open until 2 October 2016.
