Respectabull - a powerful free workshop for young people

28 Mar 2013 - 13:30 by sarah.gilston

What is the Respactabull Project?
A powerful, free workshop for young people in London, Birmingham and Manchester

Designed to be run as a workshop with groups of young people, the project aims to stimulate debate and discussion around the issues of responsible dog ownership, antisocial behaviour and the law.

What’s the issue?
Many young people are getting dogs as status symbols without knowing how to look after them properly. These ‘status dogs’ are affecting the general public, with more people reporting that they feel intimidated by the dogs and their owners. The issue has also contributed to a huge rise in the number of bull breed dogs, like Staffies, being abandoned, which is a major challenge for animal charities across the country.

How do i sign up?
To arrange a free workshop with one of their outreach youth workers or trained volunteers, please email [email protected] or call their Education Department on 0300 111 8950.
