Small Charity Week

I love Small Charities Day - Monday 17 June
Small Charity Week 2019 will kick off with I love Small Charities Day. This is a day to raise awareness of the work of all small charities across the UK. Getting involved is easy and your small charity has the chance to win up to £450.

I love Small Charities Day Social Media Competitions
There are three competitions on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to help raise the profile of small charities with cash prizes for the winners.

Prizes
#ILoveSmallCharities Twitter competition – winning small charity gets a £150 donation
#ILoveSmallCharities Facebook competition – winning small charity gets a £150 donation
#ILoveSmallCharities Instagram competition – winning small charity gets a £150 donation

How to enter:
Take a photo of yourself holding up a poster that reads: “I love (your charity’s name) because (why you love them)”.

Then simply post it to either Twitter, Instagram, the Small Charity Week Facebook page or all three, depending on which competitions you wish to participate in. Make sure you include the #ILoveSmallCharities hashtag when you post your photograph so your entry can be tracked.

Big Advice Day - Tuesday 18 June
Expert advice is not always easy to come by when resources are stretched and this can be a particular problem for small charities. Big Advice Day 2019 will involve a national London event, as well as various regional events across the country, where small and local charities and community groups (those with a turnover up to £1 million) access free expert 1:1 advice on a variety of topics.

Policy Day - Wednesday 19 June
Small charities are the centre of Civil Society. In the UK 97% of charities have an annual turnover of less than £1.5 million, but in terms of impact on local communities here and across the globe their contribution is phenomenal. It is therefore important that the voices of small charities are heard above the noise created by larger and better resourced charities. To mark Policy Day 2019, events will be held in London and around the country to raise the profile of these organisations with policy makers and influencers.

Fundraising Day - Thursday 20 June
Fundraising Day is the perfect opportunity for small charities to engage with current and new supporters to get fundraising. Fundraising Day 2019 will take place on 20 June with plenty of free events, initiatives and resources for your charity to have engaged with.

Small Charity Big Impact Day - Friday 21 June
Small charities around the country carry out vital work but in many cases people are not aware of their impact. Through the FSI Small Charity Big Impact Awards, small charities and community groups can highlight their work and the impact they make on a local, national and international level. Applications to this year’s awards are now closed. Winners will be announced on Small Charity Big Impact Day on 21 June 2019.

Celebration Day - Saturday 22 June
Small Charity Week closes on the 22 June with a day to celebrate small charities everywhere. Celebration Day is a great big thank you to small charities for all the effort you put in to make the world a better place. To help you with planning your own celebration day event, you can download a free Celebration Day toolkit.
