Do you want to make a positive change where you live?
Starbucks is launching a new scheme in the UK and Ireland to help fund projects set up by young people wanting to make a positive impact on their community. Perhaps you want to set up a festival to celebrate the diversity of cultures, skills and talents in your area? Or organise peer-led workshops on ideas sharing, youth politics or social media?
Starbucks Youth Action currently runs covers 10 cities: Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Dublin, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and two boroughs in London. Starbucks will make training and resources available and give up to £10,000 in each location to develop the best ideas.
Are you aged 16-24 and live in one of our ten project cities? Then why not apply for a Starbucks Youth Action grant and you could get access to the resources you need to make your community project happen.
Successful applicants will receive seed funding, training and the backing of Starbucks and UK Youth / Irish Youth Foundation. In addition your project will go on to inspire thousands more young people to take action in their community.
If there’s something you’re equally passionate about, the Starbucks Youth Action programme wants to help you bring those ideas to life.
Deadline: Friday 24 June 2011
