Voices of Survivors

1 Sep 2017 - 09:34 by michelle.foster

Voices of Survivors is a Lloyds Bank Foundation funded partnership between three of Greater Manchester women’s charities: Manchester Action on Street Health (MASH), Manchester Rape Crisis and Trafford Rape Crisis. Voices of Survivors

The partnership is trying to reach all the women they can across Greater Manchester and are working closely with Manchester Metropolitan University to research the needs of female survivors of sexual violence and exploitation. The aim is to ensure that voices of the women are heard and, by bringing together a variety of frontline agencies, to create a network of high quality support across Greater Manchester.

Although there are very few specialist services for women who have experienced sexual violence, there are lots of agencies offering fantastic support. The partnership believes that by listening to the voices of survivors and coming together as organisations that work with women a real difference can be made to the support offered to female survivors.

The partnership is inviting women across Greater Manchester to have their say through an online questionnaire: http://vosgm.org.uk/questionnaire/ the questionnaire takes 15-20 minutes to complete.

Printed copies are also available for women who would prefer to complete the questionnaire in writing, email: [email protected]
