The festive period is often associated with excitement and joy, but it can also be a difficult time, with many people feeling the strain mentally, emotionally, physically and financially. There are also lots of places to go for advice and support.
The PeerFest Grants aim to empower grassroots organisations, community groups, and peer-led support groups to continue their invaluable work in their communities.
The grants align with the core PeerFest values, focusing on:
Got a great idea for a community project, but need a little help to get it off the ground?
Led by A Brilliant Thing CIC, from January to June 2024, 10GM’s VCSE Workforce Development Programme is bringing together experienced managers in Greater Manchester’s (GM) Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector, to co-design and participate in a series of leadership learning workshops.
The VCSE Future Leaders Programme will run from January to June 2024 and aims to build confidence and skills, and nurture new talent, within Greater Manchester’s VCSE sector. It will be facilitated by Claire Ebrey from On The Level and Ed Moss from The Space to Thrive, with input from other trainers and facilitators.
Three and a half years after the murder of George Floyd, and despite considerable attention in civil society to racism and anti-racism, too little has changed in day-to-day experience for Black and Minoritised Ethnic people in mainstream civil society.
The Greater than Violence Strategy is a 10-year commitment to reduce violence and improve the lives of young people and families across the city-region.
The strategy marks a significant milestone in Greater Manchester’s commitment to creating safer communities.
Women’s Resource Centre is delighted to launch a Feminist Leadership Training Programme open to women from any sector and location.
This new and exciting programme is designed for women wanting to develop leadership skills, build confidence and expand their knowledge-base through a feminist lens and connect with other like-minded women across the UK and the world.
The Growth Company (GC) will deliver the Working Well: Individual Placement and Support in Primary Care (WW IPSPC) initiative across Greater Manchester. The initiative aims to help people with physical or mental health disabilities into sustained employment – or provide them with support to stay in or return to their current job.
