Child Abuse Linked to Faith or Belief (CALFB) Workshop

Join The National FGM Centre for this interactive half day workshop focusing on child abuse linked to faith or belief, where delegates will gain an understanding of witchcraft/spirit possession and other harmful practices and their impact on children and young people.

Workshop aim: to equip professionals with the basic knowledge and confidence to recognise and deal with cases of child abuse linked to faith and belief (CALFB).

Learning Outcomes:

• Greater understanding about child abuse linked to faith or belief
• Ability to recognise, respond and report child abuse linked to faith or belief
• Learning from Serious Case Reviews

Delegates will be given a certificate of attendance on completion of the workshop by a Centre of excellence in harmful practices.
