Use your experience and gain new skills by volunteering as a Trustee within a local voluntary, community, or social enterprise organisation. Trustees are the driving force behind many local charities across the city of Manchester, using their skills and qualities to lead great work that is changing lives, improving neighbourhoods and contributing positively to the places we all live and work.
Expressions of interest are now being taken.
- Are you looking to develop yourself and your professional skills?
- Do you have a passion and enthusiasm to volunteer for a local good cause?
- Are you an organisation looking for new trustees?
If so, we invite you to attend our first Get On Board event.
Becoming a Trustee for a local organisation enables you to gain valuable experience and learn new skills within a leadership role. Trusteeship is open to all ages, backgrounds and skills sets but does require commitment. If you have the passion and enthusiasm to support a local good cause, come along to our Get on Board event and learn more about what’s involved. You will meet with representatives from local VCSE organisations, other prospective trustees and staff from the Capacity Building and Volunteer Centre Manchester teams.
If you are a local group looking for Trustees, please get in touch or book your place at the event to network and promote your organisation.
How does it work?
With the main emphasis on the networking element of the evening - attendees will have the chance to have an informal chat with representatives from local VCSE organisations, other prospective trustees and staff from the Capacity Building and Volunteer Centre Manchester teams.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Please note this event will only go ahead if there is enough interest.
If you are interested in attending then please email firstname.lastname@example.org stating your name, contact information and whether you are attending:
