The Home Office have launched a public consultation ‘Transforming the response to domestic abuse’. Ministry of Justice

Throughout the twelve week consultation period the government will be listening to partners, to the many organisations and their staff working to tackle domestic abuse, and to the public. To anyone who has been affected by domestic abuse or knows of someone who has.

Community Learning Fund

Manchester Adult Education Service invites applications to its Community Learning Fund, which opens on Monday 16 April. Manchester Adult Education

Funding from a minimum of £20,000 up to £125,000 is available to up to 10 organisations to offer community learning activities which enable Manchester-based adults to move towards sustained employment, volunteering or work experience.

Manchester’s Night Heroes are four dedicated and trained groups of volunteers based in the city centre, who are committed to ensuring that your night out is as safe and secure as possible. Working in conjunction with the emergency services, volunteers are there to help people who are distressed due to a variety of reasons, be it alcohol or drugs, lost possessions, lost friends and even a flat mobile battery.
