Games for the Brain
Join a fun indoor sporting activity group for people living with dementia and their carers in Manchester.
Games for the Brain provides the opportunity to keep active and take part in low-impact sporting activities in a social environment.

This resource provides an overview of the health commissioning landscape, explaining the roles of organisations with direct commissioning responsibilities as well as key organisations in a commissioning support role. It covers the commissioning arrangements in secure settings, as well as for people with convictions in the community, and highlights where voluntary sector organisations working with people in the criminal justice system and their service users can influence health and care provision.

ABL Health delivers free weight management interventions to Manchester residents. ABL Health has two services; FAB - this is the children and family weight management service and Enable service which is adult weight management.
FAB is the Children and Family Weight Management Service commissioned by Manchester City Council to work with 2-17-year-old children and their families who are Manchester residents with a BMI greater than the 91st centile.
North Manchester CCG commissioned additional access to IAPT services in North Manchester. Feedback from GPs and other health and social care professionals suggested that we were not meeting the needs of our population, with patients not only struggling to access services, but the need for a different more supportive and holistic approach treating mental illness.
Home Start Trafford and Salford was announced as a winner of the Weston Charity Awards at the ceremony on Wednesday 14 June. Along with an unrestricted grant of £6,500, Home Start Trafford and Salford will receive 10-12 months coaching from senior business leaders via national organisation Pilotlight, who have been bringing top business talent together with small charities for over ten years to help charities become bigger, better or more sustainable.
