Understanding Commissioning and Procurement

The course uses a mixture of presentation and discussion of a case study to help participants to:

• Understand commissioning from a commissioner’s point of view.
• Understand the cycle of commissioning
• Understand some of the key terms used in commissioning and procurement
• Gain an overview of commissioning in Manchester

The course will be delivered by Nigel Rose, Strategic Lead (Commissioning) for Macc, whose role is to improve the commissioning by public bodies of voluntary and community organisations.
