Influencing the agenda: what matters for older people in Greater Manchester (GMOPN event)

Registration is closed for this event

On Thursday the 20th of February 2020, the Greater Manchester Older People’s Network will hold our big conversation on ageing, offering you the opportunity to engage with the mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham and other leaders and key influencers.

We will celebrate the work that the network has done over the past five years as part of the Ambition for Ageing programme and outline our strategy for building an Age Proud GM.

Speakers at the event include representatives from national ageing and campaigning charities and leaders from across Greater Manchester.

Our big conversation will outline the network’s priorities for older people based on our previous workshops and recommendations. The event will be an opportunity for older people, organisations and leaders to share their ideas and listen to one another, working towards a Greater Manchester that is Age Proud and positive about older people. A free buffet lunch will be provided for all attendees.

Places are available on a first come, first served basis. Booking for this event is essential. Please note, we will be prioritizing places for individual older people.

You must be a member of the Greater Manchester Older People's Network to attend this event. If you are not already a member please complete our membership form here before registering.
