If you need a broader perspective on what’s happening in health and social care policy & strategy, or starting a new job with more policy and strategic responsibilities or you are new to Manchester, then this is the course for you.

It will cover:

  1. Key drivers in health and social care policy and strategy
  2. Organisational structures in Manchester and Greater Manchester for commissioning and providing services
  3. Key issues including:
    1. Integration
    2. Asset-based approaches to individuals and communities
    3. Workforce
    4. Care for people with longer-term needs
    5. Carers

Aimed at:

The workshop is open to VCSE staff, volunteers, trustees from a voluntary sector organisation.
Please note this is not suitable for individuals or consultants or public or private staff.

Broad overview was hugely useful and enjoyed the brief historical context provided. Found the personalised/asset based conversations useful to my line of work.
