HOUR Manchester

Registration is closed for this event
This free workshop led by HOUR Manchester will explain how increased sharing, exchange and collaboration within communities can reduce peoples reliance on services and money.

Specifically you will:

  • Be shown how initiatives which increase sharing, exchange and collaboration and reciprocity can reduce peoples reliance on services and money, disrupting the economy so that it works for everyone.
  • Learn about Manchester’s city wide network of ‘timebanks’: a way to share and exchange your passions, skills and hobbies without money. We will explain the timebanking concept, what amazing things timebanks are doing in our city and how you can get involved and possibly set up your own timebank!
  • Be able to request what you or your organisation would like to share and exchange for free, for example could your organisation offer a free meeting room in exchange for free training? HOUR Manchester will then be able to facilitate the exchange of these requests and offers across our city!
  • Be invited to help shape the future of HOUR Manchester, offering your feedback to how you would like us to increase sharing and exchange in an attempt to disrupt the economy so that it works for everyone in our communities.
