Campaigns Coordinator at The University of Manchester Students Union

The Students’ Union campaigns for the rights of over 40,000 student members, and champion student groups and activists to make real change on issues closest to their heart. The Students Union are looking for a creative, confident campaigns expert to lead on insight-led Students’ Union campaigns and to empower student activists to deliver real change on campus.

The Students’ Union is a representative and campaigning organisation, advocating for the rights of students in the University, locally, and nationally, and campaigning for meaningful change for over 40,000 members. As a student-led charity they also champion a variety of student groups and activists to campaign on issues they are passionate about. The Campaigns Coordinator plays a central role in both of these areas, by:

  • Providing training and guidance to student groups to support a diverse range of change making activity and to ensure a thriving activism culture among the membership
  • Empowering and supporting elected officers to plan and deliver their campaigns and change projects
  • Using research and data from the Students’ Union’s Advice, Education and Insight teams to identify and lead on insight-led priority campaigns for the organisation
