buzzbuzz Library and Knowledge Service is delivering free training sessions for health, social care, community and voluntary sector staff on misinformation and health literacy as part of their Better Information Programme. There are two sessions: Introduction to Misinformation and Health Literacy Awareness. Book your place to find out how you can empower people to make more informed decisions about their health through health information.

Introduction to Misinformation
Throughout the pandemic, front line workers, community groups and health professionals have not only had to fight coronavirus but also misinformation. Our Introduction to Misinformation course gives you the skills to help your clients and communities check the quality and accuracy of online health information. The course is free and lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. Book your place here

Health Literacy Awareness
Did you know that around half of adults struggle to understand the health information they’re given? This course will raise your awareness of how health literacy affects your clients, your service and you. It will also signpost to simple techniques that can help make information more understandable, helping people get more out of the support you provide. The course is free and lasts 1 hour 15 minutes. Book your session here
