Better Information Programme free virtual training sessions

buzzJoin Buzz for their new virtual Better Information Programme training sessions. They’re free to attend and designed for staff from a wide range of health, social care and community organisations. They will be of most benefit to those who have not previously attended their face-to-face Better Information Programme training, but previous attendees are welcome who would like to refresh their knowledge.

There are 2 sessions available: Health Literacy Awareness and Introduction to Misinformation.

Health Literacy Awareness is a 1-hour accredited course about how our ability to understand of health information can affect our health and health decisions.

Introduction to Misinformation’ is a 1.5-hour course about different sources of health information and how we can decide if they're any good.

After attending, you will become a designated Knowledge Champion and encouraged to share your learning with colleagues and communities. You will have exclusive access to the Knowledge Champions section of the buzz website, with further support materials and learning.

There are 3 dates for each session, with more to come in the New Year:

  • Tuesday 20 October, 2pm – Health Literacy Awareness
  • Thursday 29 October, 10am – Introduction to Misinformation
  • Monday 16 November, 10am – Health Literacy Awareness
  • Tuesday 24 November, 2pm – Introduction to Misinformation
  • Thursday 10 December, 12pm – Health Literacy Awareness
  • Wednesday 16 December, 12pm – Introduction to Misinformation

The training is delivered via Microsoft Teams.
