9 Jan 2020 - 15:16 by michelle.foster

the Charity ServiceThe Charity Service’s aim is to help to support a vibrant and sustainable Third Sector by providing assistance and expertise to make the most of gifts and donations and to help make financial resources available to charities, voluntary and community organisations and CICs within the Greater Manchester area.

The Charity Service currently have four small grant funds available – Manchester and Salford Medical Charitable Fund, Pennington Charitable Fund, The Charity Service Discretionary Fund and the Cinderella Charitable Fund. The average grant award available is £1,000 but applications for more will be considered.

Grants can be issued to assist with the purchase or supply of activities, amenities or equipment which will improve general welfare or items of a medical nature which are not supplied by the NHS. The Cinderella Fund can be used by groups or individuals to support the cost of a holiday for sick or convalescent children whose family are unable to afford to take them on holiday.
