The Clothworkers' Company - Charity Governance Awards 2017

16 Dec 2016 - 10:24 by michelle.foster

Does your charity have a brilliantly effective board?

The Charity Governance Awards is an exciting not-for-profit initiative created to celebrate outstanding governance in charities both small and large.

We all know that effective governance makes a difference. And by sharing examples of inspirational trustees and brilliant boards these Awards will show how great governance and doing good go hand-in-hand.

Today, third sector governance is a subject never far from the news. Yet the headlines don’t tell the whole story.

That’s why The Charity Governance Awards are exclusively dedicated to charity governance. By shining a spotlight on the best of the sector, The Clothworkers' Company want to demonstrate how effective governance can transform a charity and even more of the lives of its beneficiaries.

The awards are easy to enter online, with seven categories covering every kind of charitable organisation.
• Board Diversity and Inclusivity
• Embracing Digital
• Embracing Opportunity and Harnessing Risk
• Improving Impact – charities with 3 paid staff or fewer (including charities with no paid staff)
• Improving Impact – charities with 4–25 paid staff
• Improving impact – charities with 26 paid staff or more
• Managing Turnaround

There is no charge to enter, for the opportunity to share your charity’s work or, if you are shortlisted, to attend the awards where the winning entrant in each category will receive £5,000.
