Could you offer an Offender a valuable volunteering opportunity?

6 Sep 2013 - 09:52 by michelle.foster

Back on Track work with some fantastic guys who are on the Probation 'Achieve' project and are currently looking for charitable organisations and voluntary sector agencies who could offer both one day taster session and more substantial 30hour placements. To give these men a positive experience of volunteering and some valuable skills to add to their CV.

This can be useful to your organisation if you need some extra people power for certain activities or are looking to expand your range of volunteer opportunities.
Whilst these men are still on probation we have worked with them for some time and they are ready to take on voluntary work. Be assured that Back on Track would never bring anyone to your organisation that they or you would deem as a risky to your staff or service users.

Back on Track have many positive comments about their Achieve volunteers from agencies who they already work with such as The National Trust, Band on The Wall, Lancashire Wildlife Trust and Sustrans – to name a few.

The Back on Track Volunteer Outreach Worker will support you and the participants throughout the process.

Taster Days –
Back on Track would bring and supervise a small group
You provide the activities and facilitate them
Back on Track will bring lunch and pay expenses
Back on Track sort out risk assessments for participants
For both Taster Days and 30hour placements Back on Track are looking for a wide and unusual range of volunteering opportunities – so be creative and think outside the box
