28 Aug 2015 - 10:17 by michelle.foster

The purpose of this engagement is to seek a wide range of views on the refreshed NHS North, Central and South Manchester Clinical Commissioning Groups Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Strategy 2015 – 2018.

The strategy sets out how Manchester CCGs plan to eliminate discrimination, reduce inequalities and improve health outcomes for all that live and work in the city of Manchester and ensuring that we comply with our legal obligations as defined in the Equality Act 2010.

The strategy has identified five Equality, Diversity and Human Rights (EDHR) objectives that will support the above process.

Objective 1 – To increase the awareness of the EDHR Agenda across CCGs, their members and providers
Objective 2 – To improve data collection and usage across all equality groups
Objective 3 - To ensure effective communication, engagement, involvement tools are available and accessible for all of our communities.
Objective 4 - To ensure that all commissioned providers have robust standards in place in respect of EDHR and have plans in place to make improvements.
Objective 5 - To ensure that all CCGs have inclusive leadership, engaged and represented workforce
