Feed My City

17 Jul 2020 - 09:12 by michelle.foster

feedmycityFeedMyCity has been serving and delivering free hot vegetarian meals through a custom-made food truck since March 2019 at 10 locations on the outskirts of Manchester.

Since Covid-19 emergency, operating 7 days a week, FeedMyCity have cooked and delivered more than 60,000 meals in the last 15 weeks. These meals have been produced in kitchen, which was not being used during Covid-19 and anyone in need, could order a hot meal by calling Feedline on 0300 365 3101 and the meal would be delivered within a few hours.

However, FeedMyCity’s hosts are now about to resume their normal operations and need to find new premises from which they can cook and prepare their food. Could your organisation help?

Ideally FeedMyCity are looking for minimum of 40 sqm (ideally 100 sqm) space on the ground floor into which they would install a large kitchen (at their own expense). If there was some storage space and potential to run a food bank even better. In a perfect world the space would be within 5miles radius from Manchester city centre but this isn’t a primary consideration.

A partnership with FeedMy City would bring benefits to the host – not least a brand new kitchen which you could use for your own beneficiaries as well.
