Forever Manchester seeks first Vice Presidents

10 Apr 2015 - 09:33 by michelle.foster

In every neighbourhood across Greater Manchester, thousands of people are activity involved in community activities or projects.

There are over 20,000 community projects of varying sizes and interest that help support and positively interact with many of the 2.6 million population of Greater Manchester.

Through generous contributions from individuals and businesses, Forever Manchester strengthens communities and enriches local life by inspiring local people to do extraordinary things together.

Vice President’s Role
In order to help Forever Manchester support even more communities, they’re now seeking to appoint a number of Vice Presidents to work alongside Phil Jones, MD of Brother UK who became the charity’s president in June 2014.

These Vice Presidents will help maximise the support from the most active sectors and disciplines across Greater Manchester, in order to take the charity to its next stage of growth.

It is anticipated that the Vice Presidents will form and lead Steering Groups in their sectors or disciplines, working alongside Phil, Sandy Lindsay from Tangerine PR – the charity’s Vice Chair – the business development team and charity Board members. Therefore, it is expected that they will be active in their own sector or discipline, with a good network of contacts.

Pilot Sectors
To ensure Forever Manchester maximise what they see as a superb opportunity for the charity, they have decided to start with two Vice Presidents – one for the Creative Industries Sector and one for the Professional Services Sector.

To apply send an email to: [email protected] indicating which VP role interests you and a fuller specification of the role will be sent to you.

Deadline for initial expressions of interest: 1 May 2015.
