Free Community Reporting project for young people funded by Erasmus+

12 Aug 2016 - 10:30 by michelle.foster

Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN) have an exciting opportunity for up to 10 young people who:
• Are aged 13 to 20
• Are interested in learning basic film-making and storytelling skills
• Have experience of leaving/quitting/being excluded from formal education early

The Youth4Youth project aims to give young people a voice and collect young people's stories and experiences of early school leaving by giving young people the skills and opportunity to make a short film. As part of the project, all young people will be trained as Community Reporters and learn some Theatre of the Oppressed theatre-making techniques.

GMYN are working in partnership with People's Voice Media to deliver this free project over 8 Tuesday or Wednesday evenings (tbc) throughout September and October, with follow-on workshops taking place in November and December.
