Developing Your Fundraising Strategy (Full Day)
A comprehensive and effective fundraising strategy is at the core of sustainability for any charity. Taking a strategic approach to fundraising will help ensure that your charity has a mixed income approach.

Legacy Fundraising (Full Day)
Legacies provide around £1.9 billion income for charities every year and should be a key part of any charity’s funding mix. In 2008, 15.8% of wills contained a charitable bequest, compared with 9.5% in 2006. The legacy market is experiencing strong growth and all charities no matter how large or small should consider how they can build a legacy income stream.

Budgets, Management Accounts, and Cash Flow Forecasting (AM Half Day)
This module, delivered by Charity Finance Group (CFG), will give a sound basic foundation to equip those who work with finances of small groups and small charities. This course focuses on understanding and developing budgets, cash flow forecasts, and management accounts.

Trustee Role in Risk Management (PM Half Day)
Charity trustees are responsible for ensuring that risks to the charity are regularly reviewed and that they focus their attention on taking actions to address the most serious risks to the charity. As a delegated role, senior staff (or those working directly to deliver services) should regularly review and assess the risks faced by their charity in all areas of its work and plan for the management of those risks. Risk is an everyday part of charitable activity and managing it effectively is essential if the charity is to achieve its key objectives and ensure the funds and assets are safeguarded.

Costs:
Full day courses are £15 for FSI members plus a refundable deposit of £35 (Please note the deposit is returned after the delegate has attended the training event)

Half day courses are £7.50 for FSI members plus a refundable deposit of £22.50 (Please note the deposit is returned after the delegate has attended the training event)
