Giving back to our communities

Working with partners and communities to tackle the issues that matter most to you Greater Manchester Police have an opportunity to put funds back in to certain areas of Greater Manchester using money seized from criminals. Giving back to our communities

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) need you to help decide where it’s going to be spent to help tackle antisocial behaviour where you live.

‘Giving Back’ is an opportunity for people like you to help GMP give the money to the individuals, organisations and groups that can help tackle antisocial behaviour in your community.

GMP need to hear your ideas for innovative projects that could help tackle antisocial behaviour and make the area you live in the best place it can be.

These projects will aim to tackle the issue in your community in order to make it a happier, healthier and safer place to live, work and enjoy.

Think you have an idea or a project you’re involved in/are currently organising that could fit the bill?

GMP Wythenshawe is holding an event on Saturday 5 May at the Lifestyle Centre Woodhouse Park Wythenshawe.

GMP is hoping for groups to present their bid for funds via a three minute presentation. The local community is being invited to watch the bids and subsequently vote on who should be allocated funding.

Thus putting back into the community assets taken from criminal activity and the community being able to decide where the funding goes.

This event has been themed around reduction of Anti-Social Behaviour but GMP would like a broad perspective on that to be taken.
