GM Poverty Action research – The Poverty Premium in Greater Manchester

Greater Manchester Poverty Action (GMPA) have launched new research looking at the poverty premium in Greater Manchester. The poverty premium is the idea that low income households face higher costs for everyday goods and services compared to those on middle and higher incomes. Greater Manchester Poverty Action

GMPA’s research finds that low income families in Greater Manchester could be paying £1096 extra per year. GMPA is calling for action to help protect low income residents in the city region from this poverty rip-off.
