The total match fund for this year's Grow Your Tenner is £345,000, this means each charity will have the chance to benefit from up to £2,500 of match funding: £1,000 from one-time donations and £1,500 from Direct Debits. 
Grow Your Tenner has raised over £5 million for local charities and community groups across the UK over the last five years. This year one-time donations made to Localgiving members will be matched by up to £10 and regular monthly donations by up to £10 a month for the first three months.
Regular donations are hugely important for small local charities - helping them to stabilise their finances and plan for the future.
Why ask people to give regularly?
• Direct Debits account for 31% of all donations to UK charities
• A one-off donation of £120 is daunting for most people, whereas £10 a month seems much more manageable
• The average Direct Debit donation set up during Grow Your Tenner raises more than £140 over a 12 month period (including Gift Aid and match funding)
Through last year’s Grow Your Tenner:
• 98% of Direct Debits set up through the campaign continued for the full match period (3 months)
• More than half continued after the match period
• Raising over £275,000 for Localgiving groups (and counting!)
Key facts:
Matching conditions: One-time donations made to a charity via Localgiving during the campaign will be matched pound-for-pound by up to £10. Monthly Direct Debit donations set up to a charity on Localgiving during the campaign will be matched by up to £10 a month for the first 3 months. After the 3 month matching period Direct Debit donations will continue, but will no longer be matched. It is the responsibility of the donor to cancel their Direct Debit donation should they wish to do so.
Donations that will not be matched: Donations outside of the supporter and charity limits detailed below will not be matched through this campaign. Please note the length of the campaign cannot be guaranteed and donations will only be matched whilst match funding is available.
Supporter limits: Each supporter may claim up to £10 of match funding via one-time donations per charity they choose to support. This can be via one donation of £10 or more, or several smaller donations that add up to £10 in total. In addition, each supporter may set up one Direct Debit donation to each charity they wish to support through the campaign. No more than one Direct Debit may be set up per individual to each charity. Every supporter may support as many charities as they wish via both one-time and monthly donations and have their donation(s) matched in accordance with these conditions whilst match funding is available.
Charity limits: Each charity may receive up to a maximum of £2,500 of match funding through the campaign: £1,000 from one-time donations and £1,500 from Direct Debit donations matched for 3 months. Donations to the charity will be matched until the limit is hit, the match fund has run out or the campaign has closed.
Match fund size: At present, the Grow Your Tenner match fund for 2016's campaign stands at £345,000. This is currently being fundraised to increase this amount.
