Healthier Manchester Online Workshop

2 Mar 2016 - 11:50 by michelle.foster

This is an invitation to take part in a new online workshop to shape the new way that community health and social care services will be delivered across Manchester.

A team health and social care professionals from the NHS and the Council, and the voluntary and community sector have been working together to develop a draft operating model that sets out how all community based health and care professionals will work together to provide proactive joined up care as ‘One Team’.

Although a voluntary and community sector perspective has been included as part of the design process, based on as much feedback as possible that has been received from wider VCS organisations, there are lots of people still to speak to.

Many VCS organisations value the move towards greater connection with local communities, but there may still be many unanswered questions. These, as well as the opinions and views of as wide a range of VCS organisations as possible on what is being proposed is essential to help develop it further. This isn’t happening in isolation, and lots of work is going on across the city, to recognise and develop the role of the voluntary and community sector in health and care integration, health and wellbeing, and prevention and early intervention.

An online workshop has been set-up to test the designs with the people who deliver, work with or support these services.

The first aspects of the One Team model they want to test are:
Features of a core offer - a plan that sets out how the proposed ‘One Team’ will operate.
The principles through which they will work – a set of shared values and principles that underpin the way health and social care professionals will work together to deliver services.

To join the conversation visit: https://healthiermanchester.clevertogether.com/ you can get involved from any computer, tablet or smartphone, at any time. This online Workshop will close on Friday 11 March 2016.

This online workshop is an interactive conversation between the people who will be working in or with Manchester’s One Team.

You will be able to share your views, look at the views of others and offer feedback by voting and commenting on their contributions. You will be able to come back to the conversation at any time while the workshop is live, to check what others think of your ideas, and respond to queries or questions they may have.

All of your contributions and comments are anonymised. This way, all ideas are judged by their merit.

Your ideas and contributions will be fed into the new Target Operating Models and will form the basis of the implementation planning process for the first phase of One Team which will start to take shape in Summer 2016.
