Healthy Me Healthy Communities are raising £1,000 to purchase food and essential items to distribute to vulnerable people without support networks who are self-isolating. Following the recent COVID-19 government advice, they have taken the difficult decision to close their Community Grocers.
The team is working hard on a new service during these difficult and unprecedented times. HMHC are finalising their plans to provide a targeted service of ‘Life in a Box’ for vulnerable people who are self-isolating with no social networks and/or experiencing financial difficulty. The delivered box will include food, essential toiletries, items like books along with information on additional services. HMHC are seeking donations to purchase and distribute these essentials.
