Launch of the Manchester NHS CCGs Mental Health grants programme

You are invited to attend the launch of the Manchester NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) mental health grants programme developed in association with Macc.

The launch is taking place on:
Wednesday 25 May 2016, 1pm-3.30pm

This is the first opportunity to find out about:

  1. why Manchester CCGs developed the grant programme
  2. how the funding programme will align with existing services and strategies
  3. what they are hoping to fund
  4. the details of the grant conditions and application process

The event is open to any community, voluntary sector, faith organisation or social enterprise that may be interested in applying for a grant and to staff working in statutory services that may wish to partner with those organisations to develop fundable activities.

The event will be chaired by Mike Wild, Chief Executive of Macc, with presentations from:

  • Jane Thorpe, Head of Mental Health Improvement Programme, Manchester CCGs
  • Michael Salmon, Lead Commissioner for Mental Health Services, Manchester City Council
  • Nigel Rose, Strategic Lead (Commissioning), Macc

Manchester Clinical Commissioning Groups are investing £330,000 in the grants programme with a maximum grant of £10,000 per application and a maximum of three applications per organisation.

The primary aims of the grant programme are:

  1. to increase the social inclusion within their neighbourhoods of people with serious and enduring mental health problems
  2. to increase the take-up of Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme services among communities that find them difficult to access
  3. to increase the level of support offered to people with mental health problems who find it difficult to access existing services in their neighbourhoods
