Let's End Hate Cr!me - Grants available for activities in your neighbourhood

13 Nov 2015 - 10:43 by michelle.foster

Manchester wants to end hate crime by building on the City's reputation for celebrating diversity. You can help do this by holding an event or activity in your neighbourhood during Hate Crime Awareness Week 2016. Events should raise awareness of hate crime and encourage reporting.

Your group can apply for a grant of up to £200 to assist with the event. The funds can be used to cover the costs of room hire, decorations, speakers, food, arts/crafts, or any reasonable costs for holding an activity or event as part of Manchester Hate Crime Awareness Week 2016. Any event must take place between Monday 8 February and Sunday 14 February 2016.

Application forms can be submitted online on the Manchester City Council website https://secure.manchester.gov.uk/forms/form/836/en/manchester_hate_crime_awareness_week_2015 or are available to download and return by post or email on the Making Manchester Safer website: www.makingmanchestersafer.com/info/4/hate_crime
