Manchester City Council Family Hubs Programme – Funding tender opportunities

The Family Hubs programme is focused on delivering on the government’s commitments as part of the ‘The Best Start for Life: A Vision for the 1,001 Critical Days’ and building on delivery of the fundingHealthy Child Programme 0-19 public health services. Part of this programme will be to champion family hubs service across Manchester. There are two funding tendering opportunities. Both tenders are looking toward one organisation to lead on this work and be the main contact with the family Hubs programme.

Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC)
Set up an Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC) Hub Service to deliver the evidence-based programme in Manchester. This programme will deliver peer-led courses, for families with young children, with a focus on children under three, across Manchester. The service will work in partnership with the Family Hub Programme. There is a maximum budget of £232,540.00 available to award to one provider. Deadline: 14 April 2023.

The Provision of a Volunteer Peer and Parenting Support Service
To develop a volunteer peer support service that supports parents’ perinatal mental health, parent-infant relationships, and parenting. Coordinators will recruit, coordinate, and support peer support volunteers who should be representative of Manchester’s diverse communities. The service will work closely with the family hub programme in Manchester. The volunteer coordinators will support delivery of Parent – Infant relationship sessions such as Baby Bonding and increase the engagement of all parents including fathers across the Parent infant Mental Health Pathway. There is a maximum budget of £311,152 available to be awarded to one lead provider. Deadline: 14 April 2023.
