Non-executive director opportunity - Unlimited Potential

Unlimited Potential is a social enterprise that exists to make the world a happier and healthier place through social innovation, which has been in operation since 2002.

Unlimited Potential was the first organisation in northern England to gain the national Social Enterprise Mark, holds the Investors in People Standard, and is an accredited Living Wage Employer. With its own audited social accounts, it is rated on the SE100 Index in the national leader table for impact measurement. The Society won Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce's Innovation Award 2011 and the Innovation Award in the Salford Business Awards 2012 and 2015. It was shortlisted for the Yunus Social Business Awards 2013, and the national Social Enterprise Awards 2011, 2013 and 2014.

Unlimited Potential are making a formal call for people to apply for a position as a Non-Executive Director – a member of the Board, which manages the business of the Society. The Board meets monthly and there are some supporting activities beyond. Non-executive director positions are not remunerated, but all expenses incurred are reimbursed.

These positions are crucial to the governance of Unlimited Potential as a community benefit society.

Unlimited Potential are particularly seeking people with skills, knowledge and experience in any of the following fields: business planning; community; finance; governance; creativity and innovation; law; marketing; organisational development; people and workforce; regeneration; service quality and delivery.

While Unlimited Potential welcomes any eligible application, in line with their Equality and Diversity Policy, they are especially interested in attracting nominations of people from groups that are currently under-represented:
• people who live in the areas that Unlimited Potential works
