Our Manchester voluntary and community sector grants

The aim of this fund is to support voluntary and community sector organisations to carry out activities that make an important contribution to meeting the outcomes of the Our Manchester Strategy in accordance with the Our Manchester Principles. Our Manchester

To apply your organisation must:
• be a voluntary and community sector organisation
• meet at least one of the objectives of the Our Manchester Strategy and all of the Our Manchester principles
• already have a significant track record of delivering services in Manchester, for Manchester citizens.

Grant amounts:
• Medium: between £15,000 and £60,000 over the life of the grant (£5,000–£20,000 a year).
• Large: between £60,003 and £300K over the life of the grant (£20,001–£100,000 a year).
• Very large: over £300,000 over the life of the grants (£100,000 a year). Only organisations with an existing grant income from us above £100,000 a year can apply for a grant over £100,000.

Before you apply you must download the guidance and prospectus and read them in full.

Key dates
The programme covers a three year period starting 1 April 2018 ending on the 31 March 2021. The anticipated timeline for the application, evaluation and award process is:
• Stage 1: Launch – programme launch event 7 September 2017
• Stage 2: Application period – online application available from 4 September 2017, closing 16 October 2017 (6 weeks)
• Stage 3: Decision-making – The programme board will consider recommendations and make a provisional offer by early December 2017. This provisional offer will then be subject to a due diligence process.
• Stage 4: Grant Award – grant confirmation letters will be issued following due diligence process.

The Capacity Building Team at Macc are delivering information sessions following the launch this workshop will comprehensively look into the fund and the application process for organisations interested in applying.
