If you have answered yes to all of these, then you may be interested in applying to PANDA’s Arts Marketing Training Scheme: 'Foot-In-The-Door'.

What is the 'Foot-In-The-Door' Scheme?
‘Foot-In-the-Door’ is a creative work placement programme led by PANDA in partnership with Proper Job Theatre and 24:7 Theatre Festival. The scheme is an exciting opportunity to develop key skills and qualities appropriate to working as a freelancer in arts marketing, event promotion, theatre production and project management. This programme combines two successfully running schemes including, the Media Consultant Scheme by PANDA and ‘Foot-In-The-Door’ placement project run by 24:7.

The training offered will enable participants to define the area they are interested in working in, help them identify their strengths in relation to their aspirations and will provide support for further development.

How does it work?
The scheme offers up to 20 places on an initial two week training programme delivered in partnership with Proper Job Theatre from the 14 April – 26 April (not including bank holiday weekend). At the end of the two-week training all applicants will be invited to prepare a pitch for 1 of 15 placement opportunities. Successfully pitching applicants will take part in a creative work placement with either a theatre company performing at the 24:7 Theatre Festival, the 24:7 Festival Team, or an organization or artist within the PANDA membership.
