Do you know an inspiring individual who has done something to make a difference? Then why not enter them into our awards? You can enter only one person in each category.
The categories are:
Volunteer of the year - Do you know someone who volunteers their time to improve their community or the lives of those around them?
Community Project of the year - Are you a community or voluntary group who works together to provide services or activities that enrich your community? Have you been involved in a great project funded by our community grant?
Young Achiever of the year - This award is for any young person under 19 years of age who has had a positive influence on their peers and the community. Someone who dedicates time and energy to making a difference.
Unsung Hero award - This award is for a person in the community who makes an excellent contribution and changes things for the better, but does not necessarily get recognised for the contribution they make. This may be a community group leader, a person who works tirelessly for others or just someone who inspires your community.
Neighbour of the year - This award is for someone you feel has had a positive influence on your community. Are they the person all the neighbours go to for support and advice? Do they help with shopping or create a community feel for your neighbourhood? We want to hear about them.
Going Green - This award will be given to the person or group who has improved the environment in a variety of ways. They encourage others to get involved and make their community a more colourful and productive place to live. This may not just be a growing project, it could be improving recycling in your area or reducing the carbon footprint.
Outstanding Achievement - Do you know an individual or group who deserves recognition for an outstanding achievement in their community? This person or group may have overcome obstacles to achieve something great or have had a massive impact on a large number of people.

The Awards night is on Thursday 26 March 2015.
