Radiotherapy and Me: Sharing stories to help others?

9 May 2019 - 15:57 by michelle.foster

What’s it like to undergo radiotherapy for cancer? How does it affect you and those around you? Can you share your story to help others?

Patients, researchers and artists are working together to raise awareness of radiotherapy and research. The aim is to encourage people to talk more about radiotherapy, to help overcome the fears and anxieties that people may have and raise awareness of it as an effective treatment for cancer.

Patients or ex-patients (in Greater Manchester) who have completed their treatment and would be happy to share their story on video are being sought for this project. The filming will take place in central Manchester (in May) and will take a couple of hours. The final video will be around 5 minutes. Travel expenses would be covered and £40 of Love 2 Shop vouchers will be provided as a thank you for taking part.
