Skipton Building Society offers the Grassroots Giving scheme to support the development of local grassroots groups from across the UK. Organisations should show a real commitment to their local community and enhance the lives of the neighbourhoods they are running within. 
The idea behind the Grassroots Giving campaign is to help community organisations, or groups, who only have access to limited funding from elsewhere. For this reason, registered charities will not be able to request funding via Grassroots Giving. Submissions are welcomed from community groups of all shapes and sizes. 
For 2016, Skipton Building Society has allocated 163 donations of £500 to help fund development for grassroots organisations in our communities.
