19 Jun 2015 - 10:07 by michelle.foster

Following a recent revision to its small grants programme, The Charity Service is inviting applications to two funds:

Manchester and Salford Medical Charitable Fund
Applications for funding are invited from charities, organisations and individuals to assist disadvantaged, sick and infirm people and those living in poverty. Grants are issued to assist with the purchase or supply of activities, amenities or items of a medical nature which are not supplied by the NHS. Grant beneficiaries must be resident within the cities of Manchester or Salford.

Cinderella Charitable Fund
Applications for funding are invited from groups and individuals for grants to support the costs of a holiday for sick and convalescent children whose family are unable to afford to take them on holiday. Grants are only available to residents within the cities of Manchester or Salford, East Lancashire, North East Cheshire, or North West Derbyshire.
Individual applications must be supported by a sponsor, such as a social worker, GP or other professional person, e.g. police officer, minister of religion, person with professional qualifications such as teachers, accountants, engineers and solicitors, who have known the applicant for at least two years and live in the UK.
