Young Manchester appoints new Director

Young Manchester is delighted to announce the appointment of Justin Watson as the charity’s new Director. Young Manchester

Justin has a wealth of experience in the third sector with substantial experience in building local and national programmes of work, most recently in his role as Head of Programme Development at Oxfam GB.

Since beginning his career as a youth worker, Justin has held a number of roles at Save the Children before joining Oxfam’s UK programmes in 2014.

He will join Young Manchester, based in Centurion House in Manchester, on 30 July 2018 and lead the team into the next phase of Young Manchester’s development and fundraising strategy. 

Nigel Wilson, Chair of Trustees at Young Manchester said, “We have been seeking to recruit an exceptionally experienced and dynamic individual to the post of Director and feel Justin will fit the role the perfectly. We are delighted to be welcoming him at end of July and look forward to have his expertise on board to help shape and grow Young Manchester, with the rest of the team’’.

Young Manchester launched In November 2017 and is a charity established to commission youth and play services across the City of Manchester with a mandate to make Manchester a world-class City for children and young people, where they can be happy, safe, realise their full potential and prosper from the city's economic growth.
