31 Aug 2012 - 10:19 by michelle.foster

Cash for Kids is the official charity of Key 103 & Magic 1152 and provides a helping hand to disabled and disadvantaged children across Greater Manchester.

Each year they hope to have thousands of pounds available for grants to children’s charities, individuals and many other causes throughout their transmission area.

All the money is raised locally and spent locally and goes to children and young people under 18 throughout the region, with mental, physical or sensory disabilities, with behavioural or psychological disorders, living in poverty or situations of deprivation, suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.

Key 103's Cash for Kids may only distribute money to or through registered Charities and other formally constituted voluntary and community organisations.
Key 103's Cash for Kids exists for the sole purpose of helping children under the age of 18.

Grant applications can only be made to children that live in / registered charities that are based in the Key 103 / Magic 1152 broadcast area.

Consideration for grants will only be given to projects aiming to help children:
• suffering mental, physical or sensory disabilities
• suffering behavioural or psychological disorders
• living in severe poverty or situations of deprivation
• suffering distress, abuse or neglect

Successful schemes will be of good quality with careful consideration being given to the safety and well-being of children.

Grant applications must be accompanied by the most recently audited annual accounts of the organisation seeking the grant.

The average grant value is circa £2,500 however Cash for Kids are interested to receive and do support significantly larger grants.
