Programme objective(s) supported by this project:
1. to increase the social inclusion within their neighbourhoods of people with serious and enduring mental health problems
3. to increase the level of support offered to people with mental health problems who find it difficult to access existing services in their neighbourhoods

Project summary: Develop a peer support group within a Central CMHT Health and Social Care Clinic to provide people who are being discharged from secondary services with a bridge from services to community, and to become volunteers. Volunteers, service users, staff, commissioners would all be involved in the design of the service.

As a charity we are well connected and work in a number of partnerships across the City including with Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust in the delivery of Manchester Engagement Team, with Barnardo’s and partners delivering Big Manchester (family intervention). We are involved in a number of networks across the City and nationally as part of the Mind Network.
